With the intent to encourage and inspire clever spell creation, this page demonstrates a few example spells that players may not immediately think of as possible.
Each spell has the following structure:
Spell Name: (For Reference)
Scene Descriptor from when the spell could be used
Spell Description of the spell’s effect (what does the spell do)
Mechanical Description of how to recreate the same spell.

Example: A spell that uses just general spell components:
Mage: Dresden. Level 1 Space | Level 4 Forces | Level 1 Spirits | Knacks: Fire | Mana 3 of 6
Attempted spell: ElectroFireball
Before spell casting decisions: +1 Glance (10 seconds casting time) | +1 Glance (2s count towards Backlash)
Dice Pool: 1+Forces+Mana = 1+4+3 = 8 -> Maximum 7
Roll Outcome: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6
Total Glances and Hits: 5 Glances and 1 Hit
Potential Spells Outcomes:
A) 1 Glance towards medium size area, 2 Glances (for 1 Hit) towards Far Away Range. 0 for instant Duration. 1 Hit towards create fire. 2 glances (for 1 hit) and 1 Mana (no Knack) for create electricity.
– Summary: A medium size ball of electrical fire hurled at a far away target. 1 Spell potential gained from the Area component which can be used to increase the damage of the spell. Other benefits may come from the fire and electricity.
B) 3 Glances towards Huge Area. 2 Glances towards Far Away Range. 0 for Instant Duration. 1 Hit towards create fire. And giving up on the electrical aspect.
– Summary: A huge fiery explosion hitting everything nearby a far away target. 3 Spell potential gained from the Huge Area, at the sacrifice of the electrical component.
C) 0 towards Area. 1 Glance towards Nearby Range. 2 Glances towards Create Fire. 2 Glances and 1 Mana towards Create electricity. 1 Hit towards Meta component Increases Avoid DC by 1.
– Summary: A small focused ball of fire and electricity against a nearby target that is especially difficult to avoid.
